Is medication withdrawal causing headache??

This is the first day without prozac and I have pain all down my left side from the top of my head down  I was diagnosed a few years ago as having hemisensory migraine which affected my right side I was given amitriptyline alongside the effoxor which I was also on which seemed to help . I gave up all meds when I found out I was expecting. i started on different meds when my son was six months old (prozac) A while after taken them I started to get the same feeling on the right side so the doctor gave me amitriptyline to take with prozac Bad mistake! the adreneline was pumping through my body like never before! Ultimate attack just after taking first tab! Nothing else was given I just put up with it but over the pass day I have been experiencing this feelings on the left hand side Could this be no medication (started taking 15mg remeron in the pass few nights) or something else???

I think Prozac has the longest half life of any of the SSRIs, so I don't think being off of it a day would cause anything. I have a problem forgetting to take my meds, and my doctor told me that Prozac is good in that it stays in your body for quite a while, like 5 weeks or something after you stop taking it completely, so if you miss doses on it it's not as bad as if you missed on something else. I would definitely talk to your doctor, I have no idea what the pain could be from but I don't believe it's from not taking your prozac for a day. I take prozac and amitriptyline and I haven't had any problems, but I know medications work differently for different people.

Definitely check with your doctor, just to be on the safe side.

Thank you for your response.  I believe its my sinuses as the day has gone on I have been to the doc with this problem before who have told me just to take paracetemol but they do not seem to really help.  have taken sudofed sinus capsules which seemed to have help but I do not want to take them continuously. I do think I need to see my own doc though cos the pain is shooting down my arm and making my hand weak.  Trouble is I hate seeing the doc cos I think Im bothering them cos when I do go it always seems something trivial
