Is this anxiety?

I have been having intense anxiety for weeks associated with the fear of having cancer. The other day i went to the doctor and was told that i will probably be fine. However ever since that day i have been having abdominal pain and discomfort. Its very mild when im lying down and sitting but i can really notice it when im standing. I still have alot of anxiety symptoms like lack of appetite, chills and feeling weak. I have never had this abdominal pain though. Its been 3 days so far. Its a hard feeling to explain, i want to say its a bloated feeling. I feel mild relief when i let my stomach out but its uncomfortable to keep it out for that long. Im slightly overweight so i usually have my gut sucked in and have had it sucked in for so long ive reached the point where i dont even notice it. And because of my anxiety and lack of appetite ive lost a considerable amount of weight. So what do you think the problem could be?

I agree with the above poster.  Physical symptoms also result from extreme anxiety and possibly depression.  Get your complete physical and tests that your doctor needs to do to rule out all physical problems.  Then get to a good psychiatrist to discuss your issues.  Health anxiety is very common (I suffer from it too) and you can very easily enhance any and all symptoms that you may suffer from....BTW...I lost over 25 pounds from my anxiety and depression.(15 years ago)...however..they have found me again!  LOL!

Health anxiety can really be a huge pain in the you know what.  In my experience, when we focus on what we think we may have, symptoms will start to appear to validate our fears.  Also, being under constant stress, it does take a toll on us both physically and mentally and it can make us feel like ****.

Does your doctor suspect something is wrong? Keep us posted!
