Itching Off and On

Itching Off and On

Hello,

I have had alot of Anxiety in the past few years, it has made me have a lot of symptoms in the past and even now.  I have worried alot about a lot of things in my daily life. I am a 27 year old male. I dont drink, smoke or do drugs of any kind. Below are things that may have spiked my Anxeity levels:

My father passed when I was 18
My mother passed when I was 24
I thought I had HIV for 5 years and finaly ruled that out
Child Birth (Started having IBS durring my childs c section) -
Have child support and custody issues with my kids mother
Always worring about different things that are wrong with me

A whild back I had all the HIV symptoms and one day I got itchy all over my body- After the forum saying that being itchy is not a hiv symptom it went away after 2 days. that was 5 months ago, Now a few weeks ago I was looking up symptoms for HEP B and C and Itchy body was a symptom. After that I started to become itchy all over but it is not a constant itch.

I had a neg test for hep b and c

The itching will amost seem like it is more itchy when i am thinking about it, And if I relax it almost goes away totally but returns when I think about it more. I even itch in my ears but its not a intence itch it is almost like a tickel that makes me itch the area but sometimes feels like an itch.  I was happy a few days ago and it seemed the itch went away completely for two days straight until i started to think about it.

My question is does this sound like anxiety and or stress to you?  What pills should I be on to help me control this?

Thanks

It does sound like the itching is brought on by anxiety.  You need to see a psychiatrist for an evaluation and determine what route of treatment is best for you.  You have had issues with anxiety in the past regarding your health so it just makes sense that this is what is happening now.  You've been thru a lot which can lead to anxiety and/or depression, and this needs to be addressed by a professional. Sometimes things just overwhelm us, and is to much for us to handle. A psychiatrist is most knowlegable with what type of medication would be best for you.  We all respond differently to the medications, and what works for one, may not for another.  Know you're not alone, and there is help for this.  I wish you all the best and hope you get some relief.  Take care.
