Just Wanna Feel Normal Again!

Hey Everyone!
Since September Last Year, Ive Been Feeling Really Off! It Started With Head/Base Of Skull Pressure And Shaking. The Pressure Would Get So Bad In My Head That It Felt Like My Face And Head Were Going To Burst! It Was Really Horrible! I Got A CT And An MRI Of The Brain Done, Which Came Back Normal, Ive Had My Thyroid And General Blood Work Done Which Have Come Back Normal. I Recently Had Blood Tests Done For Any Virul Infections That I Could Have, Which There Was A Slight Chance That "Ross River Virus" Was Present. (I Have To Go For A Review Bloodtest To Confirm) But I Looked Up Symptoms For "Ross River", And I Dont Really Have Many Of The Symptoms Listed.
The Worst Part Is Just At The Base Of Skull, Where The Bones Are Behind The Ears, Is Where All The Pressure Is. Sometimes When The Pressure Is Really Bad, It Makes Me Feel Really Groggy In The Head And Strange. (Yucky) My Ears Arent Blocked, But They feel as Though There Is A Bit Of Pressure, Like When U Drive Up A Hill, And You Need To Pop Them.
Im Just So Sick Of Feeling Like This All Of The Time! If Anyone Has Any Input.........Please Please Please Help!!! XO

You don't talk about having any of the normal/classic symptoms of anxiety, but I've no doubt this constant pressure is creating a great deal of uneasiness which can quickly turn into anxiety if we don't nip it in the bud.
You've had many tests done that have ruled out a lot of possibilities. I would suggest you make an appt. with an EENT. Even tho you say your ears arent' blocked, you do say that they sometime "pop" like when we are going up a steep hill.
The ears can have a great many problems that will create an entire boatload of symptoms, many of which you describe. I could list a number of conditions, but your EENT will address all of these.

I will say, and I want you to remember that I am NOT a doctor and this is NOT a diagnosis, it's just a way to show you how so many things are "connected." There is a condition called "Acute Mastoiditis," which is a bacterial infection in the mastoid process...........THE PROMINENT BONE BEHIND THE EAR.
This disorder usually occurs when untreated or inadequately treated acute otitis media spreads from the middle ear into the surrounding bone-----the mastoid process.

If the EENT can find nothing wrong with your ears, eyes, nose or throat, he/she will have some ideas on who you should see next. Unfortuantely some conditions are not easily diagnosed, but stick with it. Someone out there knows what's going on.

I wish you the best and hope you'll let us know what they find out.
Peace

The spots where you feel the pressure is where I always get my headaches. They are always right on the two bumps on either side and the pain is awful. I saw my doctor and he wasnt a huge help. So I went to a massage therapist and they concentrated on that area and my neck. After two visits the results were amazing! It was where I was holding all my tension and it built up and caused the pain and pressure. I am not sure if maybe the same could hold true with you but its worth a shot.
Health anxiety is horrible. I have googled way more than I ever shouldve in a lifetime. The best thing to help with that is therapy, CBT, etc.
Good Luck I really hope you start to feel better soon

Health anxiety can be a never ending loop of worry, panic, worry in my experience.  You have had the tests which came back normal, which is great news.  Have you gone to any form of counseling for your anxiety?  For me, when I was concerned about my health, I just moved from symptom to symptom to try to justify my fears of what I thought might be possibly wrong with me, but once I decided to go seek help through talk therapy, I learned about it and was given the tools to confront and deal with it....keep us posted!
