Yes, hormonal imbalance could cause anxiety. Have your Dr check your hormone levels. Are you using any birth control? I'm asking because that may be the problem. Take care. Remar

I would have to agree with remar.  Why not go to your doctor to get it checked out?  Anxiety can be caused by many factors, all of which can be confronted in my opinion.  Learning to deal with the anxiety, regardless of where it comes from, can help you understand it and deal with it.  Did you have anxiety problems in the past?

hi,

i've been terribly anxious since i got pregnant in july of '06.  it is hell.  first i worried about miscarriage due to early contractions and was put on bedrest for 3+ months.  then i worried about my baby's health because he had chronic issues (they were mild to most peoples' eyes, but not to me!), and now i worry about my own health (many symptoms, been misdiagnosed several times with serious illnesses but probably don't actually have any).  some of my hormone levels have been checked, but never in relation to anxiety specifically.  hopefully somebody will post to you and me both about which ones to look at.  good luck to you; i hope we both feel better soon.
