Klonopin and memory problems

I have taken Klonopin at anywhere from .5mg to 1mg a day for anxiety for 3 years. I've had trouble for years with short term memory problems and wonder if the Klonopin is making it worse or if its anxiety related and lack of concentration. I've tried the SSRI'S and can't tolerate them. Don't know what else to try thats safe. Klonopin works well but I wonder about effects over a long period like 10-20 years?

I have also been on klonopin for 4 years. I do think however it is also my age that i forget things from the past or even what i ate yesterday lol sigh.

If you think the med is working now stay in the moment and go with it. I think trying to figure out 10 years from now is kinda projecting the "what if's".. Kinda get my meaning?
approach any changes in the way your med is working then, or if it is not working b/4 then.

I think if you also work on some memory skills, as you feel comfortable doing, that could help. Depending on whih memories you are comfortable dealing with. Bring in the positive. :O) however take a look at your fears.
