I just took my first Lexapro today and have already thrown up once, and still feel nauseous and have virtigo when standing.  Will this go away, and if so, how long do I have to go through this before it does?

did you have the vertigo before the med or is it just a side effect..if its just a side effect it will prob be gone in 2 or 3 days..but everyone is different. but if it doesn't go away and it gets worse you should definitely  talk to your doctor

That don't sound very nice, if it is making u feel unsafe when standing then before taking another i would give the doc a ring and ask for advice.  I know that is what i would do, dizziness for me is one of the worse symptoms ever, makes everything feel totally out of control.....

Hope this is just a glitch and the med makes u feel better soon... all the best xxx

How many my are you on? It's more than likely just your anxiety. But it could have made you nasueas. But I never had any issues with lexapro. If it is a little starter side effect then it should leave soon. Hang in there. I loved lexapro.

Thanks for the advice everyone!  I am stopping it, cuz I was throwing up all night.  I am taking Klonopin at night and it seems to be doing the trick....no more Lexapro for me!!!
