ok thank you very much this whole anexity and depression thing is very hard. I just hope it gets better soon. Tom
anywhere from 2 week to a month. if you dont notice a change after a month talk with your doctor. he may want to up the dosage or change your drug to another ssri, most of my patients that are on this drug usually see results within the month.
For me, it initially took about 3-4 weeks to 'kick in.' As the members mentioned above, each person is different. Another important aspect to all of this in my opinion is to ensure you seek help through talk therapy. There is not magic pill that will cure you of this, but with this combination it is a very powerful tool to help you confront your anxiety and depression. Please keep us posted!
for about a week now the doctor told me about 1 to 10 days or so. Hopefully this will work because this anexity and depression thing really is taking a tole on me and the people around me.
with most SSRI medications they suggest giving it 4-6 weeks. Everyone is different though. Don't be discouraged if you don't feel it working in a short time. It is not a miracle/happy pill where you suddenly feel better.
How long have you been on it?
I couldn't tell you how long it takes to work. I took it for about a week and felt like I couldn't sit still and I was going nuts. I had to quit it. Hope you have better luck.
Dr. told me 2-3 weeks. But I was having anxiety so bad I felt it within 2-3 days. =)
