Ok, I'm getting fed up with these issues that keep coming up in my headHead and face reconstruction Head injury Head lice Indications of head injury Radial head injury and somehow show up in reality. Today, I had gray stools twiceTwice-a-day... I'm worried... I really hope I dont have liver cancer or anything. I also have a strange tingly feeling in my upper right abdomen, which is where the liver is located... no pain, just a wierd feeling. Last week I had a stool specimen test and the results came back with my stools being normalNormal saline flush. What gives? Everytime I feel like I'm good to go and carry on with my life, something just comes up to ruin that. Ever since April, I've got from thinking I had heart disease to HIV to Lung Cancer to Brain Tumors, to Liver Cancer to Colon Cancer to Parasites and Bacterial Infections to Liver Cancer again. What if this one is right? I hate this so much because it stresses me so much and makes it hard to sleep at night. Can smoke cause the stool to turn grey? It's been really smokey where I live (Sacramento) due to multiple fires up North, we're completely covered in smoke and it's been like this for weeks. My stools were normalNormal saline flush according to last week's test and I had routineRoutine sputum culture bloodwork done back in April, so what should I do? I dont have a familyBirth control and family planning Choosing a primary care provider Ewing’s sarcoma Family troubles - resources history of liver cancer and I'm only 19 so should i worry due to the symptoms I described? Gray stools (today), strange tingly feeling in upper right abdomen but NO pain, no loss of weight, no jaundice, stressed out and having trouble going to bed early.
health anxiety can do crazy things to your body it can mimic every related symptom going, i have been convinced i have a heart problem for years (even though every test has been normal) thus i have chest pains, tightness, every symptom that is associated with a "bad heart" so long as the doc has given you an all clear try not to worry as stacey said it could be something you ate i once had black stools and was convinced it was blood, so convinced that my body mimicked every symptom of internal bleeding of course it wasnt!! i had been eating beetroot lol
try and relax and trust your blood results, also if you did have true liver problems im sure you would know by now there would be loads more other symptoms (dont go lookin for more symptoms now lol)
Here is one of my theories to my unusual stool patterns:
1. Yellow/pale/green stools can be a sign of food passing through the digestive system rather quickly
2. Stress/anxiety can effect the digestive system and make things digest quicker (correct me if im wrong please)
Put 1 & 2 together: Stress/anxiety causes food to pass through the digestive system rather quickly, with yellow/pale/green stools as the result.
Does this make sense or am I way off? What other possibilities are there? My only symptoms besides the stools are:
- loose stools every now and then, not consistant
- stomach ache after eating
I just want to get as many opinions as possible because my doctor wont do anything unless i show other symptoms. All the sites i go to dont have yellow stools or gray stools as a listed symptom of any cancer, yet on pages all about stools, cancer is listed. I dont know what to believe. Someone please help?
Hey buddy. You need to just take a deep breath... relax. YOU ARE FINE BRO. =)
When I started having my anxiety last year... I freaked out about my anxiety symptoms... loss of appetite.. nervous stomach,... dizziness.. I kept trying to self diagnose myself... After I went to the bathroom I caught myself looking at my stool and freaking out b/c I'd see little weird phlegm like matter in there.. I thought it was cancer I had and that made me feel even more scared...
Here's why you shouldnt be worried... stools are something we usually don't look at all the time... and when you are worried about your liver etc... then you start looking at your stool.. and I'm sure it looks grey... but before you had this fear of liver problems... maybe your stool has been grey before and you just didnt look at it... and even if you did... you just didnt worry about it.
Stool's very from color to color all the time.
Sometimes mine will be really really dark... sometimes they'll be really green... sometimes yellow... sometimes.. almost white... if I'm nervous.. diarrhea...
If your stool sample came back fine, just let it go... learn to let it go.. and tell yourself.. you are fine. =) Just take a break from looking at your stool.. you'll feel better... and when your liver "area" stops feeling weird... then you'll forget all about it.
I have faith youre liver "area" stops feeling tingly and stuff.
I get these sharp pains down in that area sometimes.. and alot of the times it's just gas... or from running/working out a little too much.
Take care bro. I'm 25 male... and you and I are too young to be having bowl problems.. that's something old people talk about right? haha j/k bro.
thanks, it helps a bit. it's always good to get support from someone else who suffers from anxiety. this whole anxiety problem has been on and off for the past 3 months. i either feel great or worried/anxious about something. the thing that worries me is just how my stools have either been yellow or gey for the past 2 months. i wish i knew the exact reason why
