Looking for answers
hi, i take atenolol for high blood preasure and sinus tach cardia. lately i have had more palpatations i have been under a lot of stress and my blood preasure seems to be a little high lately, can i stay on atenolol for a long period of time, is there a chance that atenolol can harm my heart with long term use
No long term use should not cause any damage at all. Anxiety will cause palpatations and can cause a rise in blood pressure. Please see your doctor and discuss how you have been feeling.
I don't know about that medication, and I am in no place to tell you to discontinue it. What I can do is offer tips/techniques for anxiety and panic that I have gathered from years of researching.
