I take .05mg from time to time. It makes me relax. I feel a little light headed but atleast I can relax
at night. My Dr. told me to take it only as needed and not more than 2 a day. I haven't taken any
in a week. Ask your Dr. if it is addictive.

Hi my name is janis and I have been on lorazepam (ativan) for over 30years and yes it is addictive, but if your only taking it when you feel you need to calm down then dont worry has it will help you.
all the best,
Janis

janis yes its very addictive and if you take it all the time your body will get where it dont work and you will need more and more , its not a long term meds for anxiety, have you ask for something like klonopin its a long term med you take it twice a day, i took it when i was into 3 months of anxiety and could not bring myself out, it was great got me out and now i just take ativan now and than , but i never take it more than once a day which i take .05 and never more than twice a week, i have not took it in 2 months . so if you need something everyday see your dr about a long term meds that your body does not need more and more of. good luck. barbara
