Losing control fear
I think the worse symptom is this feeling as if I am about to lose control. Sometimes it happens when I am driving and I have to pull over because I am so afraid. This is my struggle lately and it really *****. I just want ot be normal. Just had to get that off my chest. Anyone else feel this way with panic/GAD?
since you mentioned your least favorite symptom...i'll mention that my least favorite is the fear that all of the symptoms that you feel during a full blown panick attack will never ever go away and that's how i'll live the rest of my life. that to me is the worst because it produces more panic. anyway...i try to use the same method for that...knowing that it won't last forever and that millions of people deal with the same thing and that it will pass. it's a little bit more difficult though.
when i feel that way...i remind myself that i've never heard of anyone with my problem actually loosing control. infact you always see people in these types of forums talking about the fear of loosing control...but never actually talking about doing it. reminding myself of that helps to clear my mind.

my anxiety is still pretty bad sum days
when my anxiety is really bad
i get that horrible feeling that im going to die out of nowhere
or lose control.
im at the point of my anxiety where im able to pretty much travel and go do normal things like i used to before i got GAD
and pani attacks
so i know i shouldent be complaining
but my anxiety is still here
and its many symptoms are really bothersome.
ugh its amazing what stress can cause

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM I CANT EVEN DRIVE TO THE CORNER WITHOUT THAVING A PANIC ATTACK AND THEY LAST A LONG TIME. IVE TRIED SEVERAL MEDICATIONS EFFEXOR,ZOLOFT,PAXIL. I THINK PROZAC IS WHAT CAUSED THEM THATS WHEN IT STARTED FOR NO REASON,MAYBE I WAS ALLERGIC I HAVE NO CLUE. I HATE GOING THRU THIS. IVE BEEN ON ZOLOFT NOW FOR OVER A YEAR IT DID NO GOOD SO I AM NO WEANING OFF THAT WHICH IS HAS BEEN HORRIBLE. I WISH I COULD BE HYPNOTIZED AND MAKE THIS FEAR OF DRIVING GO AWAY!!
my MD just gave me Klonopin. I just filled it but havent started taking it yet. I am a little scared after reading the possible side effects... do you know anything about Klonopin?
