MD or Psychologist/Psychiatrist?

Just wanting some feeback on experiences with MD vs. Psychiatrists.....

I went to my MD after having problems because I of course thought I had some physical ailment (not that anxiety isn't physical to some degree).  MD's are obviously familiar enough to prescribe meds to make you feel better which is celexa for me as of now.

I'm meeting with a psychologist later this week to try to get to the root of my anxiety/depression and am just wondering what he might say about the meds prescribed.

Obviously the knowledge of a psychiatrist is greater regarding psychiatric medication than that of a physician and its better that they follow up. A psychologist is best for talk therapy. That particular medication is used for depression. If you want to know more google "Depression Central" to find out.
