Magnesium & fish oil supplimets for anxiety?

I have heard and tried fish oil for anxiety. I stopped when i got sick witht he stomach flu and just started back.  I have been having a really hard time with anxiety lately probably bc a lot of my anxiety is health anxiety.
Does anyone know how much magnesium should be used for anxiety? I read that it can help but nowhere have I seen dosing. Had anyone tried this?

The best way to take it is to take a !:1 calcium citrate to magnesium citrate.  Solaray makes one.  The normal ration is 2:1 calcium to magnesium.  Taking it this way ensures you don't upset the balance between calcium and magnesium when you up your magnesium levels.  As to whether it alone will cure your anxiety, probably not, bit it is an essential nutrient for relaxation.  Fish oil is more associated with helping depression than anxiety, but most anxious people get depressed and most depressed people get anxious, so it couldn't hurt.  For an idea of what a total supplementation program might look like, read Natural Highs by Hyla Cass, a psychiatrist at UCLA.
