Merlit withdrawal

Merlit withdrawal

Hi
I am a woman, 52 years old, I started having Merlit (Ativan) 1 mg pill at night, and Anafranil 25 mg also at night, since 10 months, as prescripted by a doctor, since I had problems in sleeping, and loosing weight, now I do not want to rely on medicines, I stopped Merlit 3 nights ago, 1rst was ok, second was ok, bot last night was bad, I could sleep but I woke up 3 times at night, with 3 nightmares, I am a working woman, also I am taking Anafranil now every 3 days, how I can withdraw these medicine, cause I want to really, and I do not want to rely on this kind of medicine

You should discuss coming off your medications with your doctor and let the doc give you a withdrawal plan.  Cold turkey isn't the best method.
A gradual reduction in your dose is usually what's recommended and maybe best to withdraw from one and see how that goes for a few weeks before stopping the other.
Let your doc assist you.  Good luck
