Muscle spasms

I do have have health anxiety and I seem to have constant pain by the left armpit/breast area I am a bit overweight 21 years of age.
It's a small pain as well then I get small spasms under the heart area like at the ribs and numbness in the breast muscle area it doesn't feel like it's inside by the heart though and i've had tests and my heart is fine according to the doctors. I am working through my anxiety and i've come quite far.
But does anyone else get spasms in these places or others by the armpit, rib cage and breast area mostly. Any response is apprieciated.

Do you exercise at all?  Sitting at the computer is very hard on the neck -- so is looking at a cell phone a lot -- and the muscles are attached to the area you're describing.  But it could have been tweaked just by reaching up to get something from a cabinet or some form of exercise.  If you don't exercise, your muscles will obviously not be very strong, and you won't benefit from movement that stretches us out.  You're very young, forget about your heart, but do know that if you don't exercise now, it'll gain on you as will not eating a healthy diet.  Also, are you on any medications for your anxiety?  One of the common side effects is muscle cramps, often because they interfere with the absorption of magnesium, which is essential for relaxing the muscles.

I have been taking the occasional Xanax that was prescribed by my doctor when it gets really bad, but other than that I am drug free for now. Waiting for an appointment for a psychologist in august.
It's been hard because I obsess about my heart and it scares me that I could just drop dead.
But yeah i've had tests like an EKG and they said my heart was fine but I can't shake the scary feeling you know? And where I work I am constantly lifting things and carrying furniture other than that I do not excercise except for the occasional walk.
This health anxiety has just gotten quite bad unfortunately. But I am trying to accept it and just getting help to prevent further development with the anxiet you know?
But yeah Xanax is about the only meds i've been taking for my anxiety not on a daily bases though only when I get bad panic attack sessions or alot of anxiety over a day. Taken maybe 20 0.5mg Xanax over the past 4 weeks I think.
I just obsess about dropping dead due to a cardiac arrest or heart attack even though I am young and relatively healthy. I don't eat candy anymore or any junk food. Just home cooked meals alot of veggies and such.
Gonna try and take magnesium supplements as i've read this can be the issue I eat alot of bananas and drink quite alot of milk so the calcium is probably out weighing the magnesium which could be the cause of this muscle weakness and twitching as you mentioned.
Cracking joints is nothing to concern yourself about.. My physio guy told me that and mine have cracked for multi-decades but I have no pain.

No one can diagnose you from here, but perhaps you are over-analyzing your body and thinking some small things are bigger than they are - in fact they may be like the cracking and not of any consequence. Hopefully the therapy/psychologist will help you find some coping mechanisms.

The biggest fear I would have from sedentary lifestyle and overweight is diabetes because 1 in 11 gets it and those are risk factors.
Taking Xanax occasionally won't deprive you of magnesium on a regular basis, so that's not it even though it uses the magnesium pathway to get past the blood/brain barrier.  But I think you've answered the question by saying you lift a lot at work -- I'm guessing you tweaked something.  I grew up working for my Dad in the restaurant equipment business, and everyone lifted a lot and everyone who stayed in it for a long time ended up with bad backs and hernias.  It's not as bad nowadays, because we have portable fork lifts and lift gates on trucks and the like, but lifting can tweak you right where it hurts, as can lifting weights at the gym.
But you're right, if you drink a lot milk, that can be a problem with magnesium.  It's a common problem in the US, where the gov't teamed up with the dairy industry to get us to drink a ton of dairy.  Dairy is very high in calcium but negligible in magnesium, and many believe this is why osteoporosis got to be such a big problem.
Yeah, I do over analyze my body along with the fear of my heart just stopping at any moment. I am trying to cope with it and just accept if I am gonna have some blood tests run when it comes to the magnesium and such.
I mean I know it's 99% probably not my heart. But that 1% is just overpowering along with my anxiety that is the problem. But thank you so much for the answers and help!
I probably should mention that I do have GERD

I do sit a lot by my computer in my chair in the same position with my arms on the table and I know this could also be a factor to this and with anxiety that doesn't really help especially when I am terrified of just having a heart attack or something and dropping dead. As I mentioned I do have health anxiety.
