Hi Limonada,
I have the same kind of tension you are describing, almost a twisted ,tight ropey kind of feeling and when I am anxious it gets worse. I always worry that it has something to do with my blood pressure.
Many members in this forum with similar symptoms used to mention in other posts that they were afraid of ALS, so one day I looked up to read about ALS. ALS really sounded scarier than blood pressure issues , so I decided to stick with blood pressure fear. At least I pick which disease I would like to worry about .
Oh yeah, I can relate. I even have muscular pain behind my left lung and kind of wraps itself around my rib cage. If I stretch or move in a certain position it'll hurt. I have also had neck pain for MONTHS now. I have no idea what is causing it but since it also responds to Advil most of the time, I can only assume that it is stress/anxiety. Sometimes I can feel the pressure points that the base of my neck just throb with pain. Just another sign of how tightly wound up I am.
You are definitely not alone. I have it with my left arm and left leg. I have been to a neurologist who did various nerve studes (emg/ncv, evoked potentials, mris), but all came back fine.
Ive had those symptoms for about two months now.. but mine stays and does not go away and I have other symptoms like confusion and balance is off and so on.. or... it could just be caused by anxiety and Im stressing over nothing heh.
oh yes i get them , they give me headackes my shoulders hurt so bad some times so yes it comes with the anxiety
