My experience with Celexa

I have been through what people describe as "electric shock" symptoms when coming off of Celexa, regardless of the dosage at which I stopped. I understand that being pill free is probably the goal of coming off the meds in the first place, however Xanax has helped me tremendously with those feelings. As I understand it, quitting Celexa can increase a person's seizure threshold, and taking benzodiazapines can reduce that threshold. I would suggest talking to a doc about it first.

On another note, has anyone out there experienced increased crying and/or anger when quitting Celexa? I would love to hear anyone's input about it. I'm kind of struggling. Thanks.

What dose are you coming off, and did you taper? Where are you at in terms of last dose taken?
