My son acts younger than his age

by ataloss42, Aug 26, 2008 09:01AM
HI, my son who is now 9 years old was born with herpes simplex and was in special care bay unit for over a week, when he was released he had to have antibiotic drip three times a day for a week.
Joe has always been slightly behind other peers at school and he acts so immature when i ask him to do the most basic of things ie; clean his teeth he will throw himself on the foor and cry or run upstairs crying. I know kids can be kids but my gut feeling is there is somrthing more wrong with him relating back when he was a baby and having herpes simplex.
Please help me i think my doctor thinks im a nuerotic mother.

Yours Jan Growns
