I was on Escitalopram for many years until it stopped working for me. It helped me a great deal with panic and anxiety. It did make me somewhat tired but not so bad. Other than that I had no side effects. If you decide to take it I hope it works well for you.
I deal with the same thing it drives me crazy. Last night i had a hard time sleeping i had really bad stomach ache and i was getting really bad chest pain right near the heart so it always gets me anxious that there's something wrong with my heart. I was prescribed anti depressants for anxiety (escitalopram) , but I'm not taking them. Does anyone have any advice on the effects of escitalopram. I've been drinking tea everynight to relax and it seems to help.
Yes omg. I need tips on how to calm this too. Most of the time my mind just runs and runs and I end up going crazy. Either lashing out on someone or just yelling at the top of my lungs because I can't contain it.
Yeah, mine mainly happens at night before I go to sleep so it's keeps me up. :( I am making a counseling appointment today, so we will see if that helps. It's a scary feeling! But thanks for the feedback... Glad I'm not alone!
Hello,
Yes, I have also had this before. It is a terrible feeling! I am a nervous/anxious person by nature, and so instances like what you are describing will almost take my breath away and my heart feels like it is beating out of my chest. About 5 weeks ago I went on an anti-depressant called Sertraline, along with Clonazepam to be taken as needed if the anxiety got too much. I have noticed incredible improvements in all aspects of my life. However, this is just my experience. I wish you the best of luck!
Yes, I do. And I have experienced it before. I have been in that state for almost two months straight. This evening is the first time I feel a tiny glimmer of sanity. Are you taking anything for it? If not, I suggest you try something, whether a natural route or antianxiety/antidepressant. Also, you need to get into counseling (or on your own you can do it too) to learn some calming techniques. I'm going in tomorrow to start CBT...I've done it before, but my brain always needs to be reminded what it forgets. There are apps for relaxation or you can go on Youtube and look up some relaxation therapy. Good luck!
