Neti pot has me sleepless...

Yesterday I used a home made version of a neti pot for the first time using warm tap water and salt, today I read that using tap watet with it is dangerous?

What should I do? Will I be fine? This is driving me insane..

Don't worry you are fine.  Using tap water(especially from a well) may introduce bacteria into the nasal cavity.  The risk would be minimal and an antibiotic an easy fix.  After all the air you breathe each day contains alot of bacteria too.

you are fine but i would no longer use tap water. if you do you need to boil it first let it cool than use it

The anxiety makes me feel as if I'm having symptoms but I've also had a cold these past few days, is this normal?

...Neti pot? Really? That has to be the dorkiest name ive ever heard for something. Play on "tea pot" yes I get it.

I suppose theres not a ton of choice though, huh? "Nasal Douche" doesnt sound nearly as classy.
