New to this area, but not Anxiety

Hi all-

I am usually in the Thyroid forum, but thought to stop in. I have been dealing with anxiety/panic for almost 3 years. Started after the birth of my first child. It hasnt stopped since. I did/do have thyroid issues. Just had a Total Thyroidectomy in March 08. On meds, but get the panic out of the blue. I am actually starting to deal with them a little better, but they are very debilitating!! Scary as hell. I am going to have my adrenals tested because I was told that if those are low or fatigued, it cause anxiety/panic. Anyone ever heard of this??

I'm usually in the thyroid forum too.  I have an enlarged thyroid.  All my thyroid test results return normal, but I have bad anxiety/panic.  I plan to have my adrenals tested as well, because I read in a book by Dr. Bourne that when the adrenal is fatigued, the condition can cause anxiety/panic.  

What meds are you taking ?  One side effects for many medications is anxiety.  When I was taking Loratadine for allergies, I was crawling up walls my anxiety was so bad.  But your medication may need adjusting, till your thyroid condition stabilizes.  Good luck.
