Not sure what to do...

by eengland, Nov 15, 2007 09:13AM
For about two years now I have been taking Celexa and have been feeling great. Recently I stopped taking it (its been about 5 days) and now I am feeling gittery, anxious, exhausted and not in control of myself. Is just five days of not taking it really going to affect me like this?

Yes, yes, yes........Did you stop cold turkey?  That would be part of the problem.  When stopping medication, you should be weaned off slowly.  Did you do this under the advisement of a doctor?  I would consult him about slowly coming off the medication.  From what I have heard, those who stop suddenly have withdrawal for a few weeks up to a month or so.  However, everyone acts differently. Best to you.
