i was absolutely sure for about a month and a half that i was dying because of all the weird bodily symptoms of anxiety that i wasn't used to. wierd pressure/pains in the head...heart palpitations...the whole nine yards. the best advice is to get it all checked out first. i did. then once you can breath a little easier knowing there's nothing wrong...just try to relax and know that eventually the physical symptoms do float away. but stressing out over when they'll be gone and if they could be something worse will only prolong them. so that's my advice....go get it checked out and then when you know everythings ok with your body, work on your anxiety. and try to calm down over this. it won't help matters either way. i know it's easier said than done...but still it's best to try.
you know what helped my physical symptoms? i accepted the fact that i had brain cancer and was going to die...but that there was nothing that i could do about it until i got the diagnosis so i wasn't going to let myself think about it....and thats what i did. when i started thinking about it i made myself stop by reminding myself there's nothing i can do about it. now obviously i don't have brain cancer but it wasn't until i accepted that i had it that i stoped worrying about it long enough for the symptoms themselves to start to go away. sounds crazy i know...and i'm sure it doesn't work for everyone...but luckily it did for me.
Coughing is a symptom of anxiety in some people. It's usually a way to clear out our throats or relieve a gagging feeling. The pains you are feeling around those areas could be related to the hard coughing (ribs sore).
Anxiety can also cause jaw clenching which can make your teeth sore.
Thanks for replying! And yes, I definitely agree with you about getting everything checked out first. Cause even though I haven't gotten a lot of tests done yet, just going to the Dr. and asking questions and getting a test is relieving. No, I don't think that sounds crazy. I think that sounds like a pretty good way to handle things. Thanks again! :)
