PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I have been on 40mg celexa and 2mg xanax per day for 4 yrs. I have been having to take more lately and am now almost out, and cannot refill for 2 weeks. I have been taking approx. 4mg per day. I know I have done this to myself, but now i dont know what to do, i am scared to go through the detox cold turkey...

I wish I could just go in to my dr and be honest w him but that is not an option unfortunately. He is not sympathetic or understanding and i will just leave it at that for now to keep this post short.

HERES MY QUESTION:

I am thinking about going to another dr locally and getting a script, and use a diff pharmacy. ONE TIME. Just to bridge me over. I really have no other choice (except to detox at home) I am going to have to take matters INTO MY OWN HANDS and taper down back to my normal dose, get back on track and live happily ever after.(so to speak)

My question is this: This is concidered dr shopping..isnt it? what could happen? how could they find this out? I am only doing it ONCE. because I fear getting red flagged and or dropped abandoned completely by all drs. That is scary!!  
SOMEONE ANYONE PLEASE ANSWER ME I AM SO DESPERATE FOR HELP AND ADVICE... all advice is welcome

Xanax is a scheduled drug and in many states they track the prescriptions and send the info to all the doctors. I don’t know about your state. At 4 mg of Xanax it is DANGEROUS to miss more than a couple of doses. The AD also has withdrawal issues.

As you found out all anxiety drugs tend to stop working over time (depending on your genetics). I would humble yourself to your doctor and come clean or find one you feel more workable and switch.
