I have been taking Lexapro for my anxiety for a month now and the majority of my anxiety is health-related. I'm only 21, eat well, work out, don't smoke and don't do drugs. I'm completely terrified that I have MS (checked my symptoms on WebMD--bad idea, I know). I described the pain to my physician earlier this week and ended up getting blood tests for Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. I'm still waiting on the results.
My question is: has anyone experienced the fatigue and arm pain that I described above? And regarding MS...can it be ruled out by doing an MRI of the brain? Or are there any other tests that are needed to rule it out?
Arm pain is just one of my symptoms of a panicPanic disorder Panic disorder with agoraphobia attack or stress. Its nice to know im not the only one. The doctor een told me that is just one symptom of anxiety. I dont know about MS. I have had a full blood workup done and all mine was normal. I hope you feel better,
Hello, get them pains in my arms from time to time, and I also get them in my chest area I was just recently diagnosed with anxiety so i dont know all about it yet. But I am learning! But they started me on some new meds hope they work. I dont knwo about MS neither but I think it is a panic attack your like me look it up on the internet and think the worse its our minds playing tricks on us
Fair play to you Steff. Fast learner girl. Some good advice.
Vic I bet all the tests come back negative. With anxiety the pains can vary when they want to vary. I suffer from it. But I also admire it for what it can do. Pain in the back today, pain in the leg tomorrow, pain in the ar*e the day after that. You know what I'm getting at. It's like it goes where it wants to go and we let it. Once we feel that first twinge we begin to think ' oh no ' and it's off and turning into a bigger pain and then into a serious illness. Lord knows I have had everything. Even tropical diseases, and I live in Ireland. ( LOL ) Anxiety can take over your life and dictate to you. That's why you have to begin to fight back and stop it ruining your life. Accept the pains as just pains that will pass. And trust me, they will pass once you don't make them the center of your full attention. Keep us posted.
