Once into the panic and anxiety world you should cut way down your coffee intake and smoking too.
CBT, or cognitive therapy, attempts to do that very thing by giving you understanding of the condition, learn relaxation techniques, learn how to confront panic, and finally confronting panic situations starting with easiest and moving to hardest. I'm not going to tell you it'll work, but it's worth a try, and a whole lot better approach than inducing panic by using substances that aren't good for you anyway and might imprint further expectations of anxiety on you.
I should add that about 2 years ago I had quit caffeine and smoking for 8+ months and I had panic attacks almost everyday, all day at random.
