That's withdrawal -- you need to slow the taper down. This is a very hard med to stop taking, perhaps the most difficult, so no need to be in a hurry -- and make sure your psychiatrist knows that you know this.
My night sweats didn't start with Paxil until my psychiatrist tapered me off of it to begin a mood stablizer instead. I wake up drenched every night but it only started when I had to start cutting my 20 mg pills in half.
Namaste,
Paxil is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. It works by restoring the balance of serotonin which helps to improve certain mood problems.
Paxil is used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
Although night sweats per se are not a normal side effect of Paxil each individual reacts differently to diferrent medications.
If you've been taking Paxil for a month and these night sweats just started, it's unlikely that it's directly related to the Paxil.
I suggest you consult with your provider and explain your concerns to him/her.
Let us know how you're doing and take care of yourself!

I take lexapro. And the 1st week or so, I was having night sweats. Some of it may have been anxiety in my sleep. But yes, AD's can def make you sweat alot. Research Paxil Sweats on google. Betchya ne thing it comes up as a side effect. =)
No worrys, once you get adjusted it'll stop. And again, it could be anxiety in your sleep. Or you could just be hot? lol.
Good luck. Don't "sweat" it. lol. No pun intended. lol.
