One week new to PaxilPaxil Paxil cr - my pill bottle says do not take with alcohol. Of course I'm not washing it down with a beer or a glass of wine but should I avoid alcohol all together or just drink moderately (like no more than 2 on a weekend night)?
"PaxilPaxil Paxil cr as well as most antidepressants should not be mixedMixed respiratory vaccine with alcohol or marijuanaDrug abuse. Alcohol and marijuanaDrug abuse can both contribute to the depressive or anxiety features the medication is trying to treat and also inhibit the effects of the medicine.
Combining marijuanaDrug abuse with antidepressants can cause confusion and occasionally hallucinations or delusions. Combining alcohol with antidepressants can greatly increase the effects of alcohol, which can include suppressing respiration and death."
I had a few drinks recently, no problem. Then Saturday I had 3 (two beers, 1 champagne) and felt really really depressed. Took everything to heart. Anyone have issues with alcohol and Paxil?
One drink is like two, two is like four, etc. I find that even with one glass of wine, I get very depressed also. It also gives me a depressed feeling for day or two after. It's not worth it!
