Paxil and ringing in the ears

I have been taking Paxil for a number of years.  I have weaned from 20 mg to 10 mg very slowly (over the last couple of years).  About a month ago, I went from 12.5 mg down to 10 mg.  Two weeks ago I suddenly started having severe ringing in my ears and my anxiety returned (which has been low for a number of years).  If I increase my dose back to 12.5 will the ringing go away and will I ever be able to get off this drug?

If your anxiety got worse since you lowered your dose it might be a sing that you are not ready to reduce your dose. I would suggest you talk to your doctor about the symptoms that have came back and he might just increase your dose or mix your lower dose with another medication used for short term releive of anxiety symptoms if you really want to tapper off Paxil.

Basicly the best thing you have to do is go see you doctor and talk to him about this issue and even if i'm not a doctor i can tell you the reduced dose have a link with the symptoms coming back. The ringing in the ears might be due to another medical condition tho so maybe try to figure this out with you doctor too.
