All,
I have been having attacks for about three months now. They have been predominantly physical symtoms in natureNature-throid Natures tears (Sometimes when I have a physical symptom it scares me into anxiety or panicPanic disorder Panic disorder with agoraphobia). Physical symptoms: flutterAtrial fibrillation/flutter of stomach / esophagusBarrett’s esophagus Esophageal cancer Esophageal perforation Esophagitis Esophagus Esophagus and stomach anatomy, weaknessWeakness, fatigue, blurry vision, weird sticker pains in stomach, etc. I noticed my digestion seemed to slow down during the recent attacks. I intiially thought that I was just constipated from taking nexiumNexium Nexium i.v. (Yes like many of us I have acid reflux). At one point I was losing my appetite and bowel movements have become sporadic (some hard - some loose). i went back to the GI doctor and he tried to tell me to get my anxiety uder control and eat more fibre - I told him something was wrong and literally forced him to schedule me for the barium x-ray of the upper GI and to plan a colonoscopy. Against his will he did so. I got the call from them - I have an inflamation (inflammation) of the bowels and they want to do the coloscopy and take a biopsy. From what I read it means worst case is Crohn's disease of Ulcer colitus (sp?) - not fun things but treatable. Either of these leave your body short of nutrients which can bring on all the symptoms above. You may want to have this checked.
I went through exactly the same procedure & they found a mild antral gastritis, which was blamed for me attracting HEP A overseas.
about your upper GL, was that an upper endoscopy, like the camera thru your mouth? did it show that you have inflammed bowel from the upper endoscopy or other tests?
I thougt in upper endoscopy they could only see up to the duodenum.
Yes they did an upper endiscopy and saw a mild hiatel hernia and the entrance into the small intestine, but did not look beyond that. That was in late March and my symptoms were not as bad. They did not look any further.
My symptoms are not olny more severe now, but they have changed. Many of what i now have physically could be attributed to malnutrician which can result from the failure to absorb / digest properly.
I guess it is actually nice that someone found something wrong with me - I am not sure how many of my symptoms can really be attributed to this, but I know some must.
I go through the same problems, flutters in the upper stomach area, and complain its my heart. I have these weird attacts at night that wake me up scared to death that somethinhg is wrong. I feel like my heart slows down, then gets real fast, I get real cold, laabored breathing, shaking, anxiety, and then a bowel movement. I gotta get to the bottom of this. Please help. I've had all kinda of test, the comon ones and can't find anything
You know, after all these tests, it's still going to come down to your diet and your nervous system. Oh, and a lot of meds, which will treat your symptoms but not your stomach problems.
