I am about to give up on everything and im just asking for some insight.
my story begins about 6months ago when i was trying to go to sleep. i felt very anxious and got up with severe chest pain, palpitationsHeart palpitations, dizzyness and feeling like i was going to faint. i called teh ambulance adn they did an xray and ekgAtrioventricular block, ekg tracing Ecg Exercise stress test everything came back normalNormal saline flush. i have since been to the er for hte same reason about 30 times. they put me on celexa and after about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks of being on celexa my faceFace pain was going numb. this of course scared me and i stoped taking it. my family doc was determinded that this is all anxeity related.
Then i started having stomach pains with continued 24/7 chest pain that doesnt let up or change. i had a head ct done and it was fine. i had a stress test done and it was fine. i had an echocardiogram and it was fine. Several more ekgs nothing. i finaly switched to a new family doctor and he suggested a chest ct. It came back as gallstones. i am having surgery tuesday to remove gallbladder but i am even more troubled.
i dont understand how a gallbladder can cause left side chest pain, left arm pain, finger numbness, vertigo, dizziness, and a feeling like im distant or living life threw a bubble. i feel totaly detatched from the world and feel like any minute im going to die of a heart attack or other serious condition. i have no more joy in life because im so consumed with what is going on with my body. the pain gets so unberable sometimes that im up most of the night crying. recently i have been gettin sharp pains in my left ear and back of my neck and now my lungs are very sore when i try to breath
the chest pain feels like burning tightness and goes threw my back. i just dont know what to do anymore. my new doctor switched me off of trazadone, celexa, ativan to only taking effexor. when i took the effexor i would get a sudden rush of giddiness and could not stop clenching my jaw and grinding my teeth. i felt like i had even less control of what was going on around me. i was only taking half of the pill persribed. i was told to take half for a week then take the full pill but i cant even bare taking half.
ive lost all hope that i will ever feel any better. my family has pretty much given up with me believing that im making all this up since they cannot find a medical reason for my pain. i just dont know what to do anymore.
i forgot to even mention
i am a 24 yr old female. i was on nuvaring when the chestpain started and i quit using it. i stoped smoking a few years ago and i do not use any substances.
hiya i have chest pain too through anxiety and have been through all your fears i too have had the tests which have all been good but yet i still get the symptoms, im having CBT which is helping me to deal with the anxiety. as for the gallstones i dont know much about it but i do know it is something to do with your digestion?? my uncle had his removed he got bad chest pains especially when he ate certain foods, he even got hospitalised when he was on holiday cause they thought it was a heart attack the pain was that severe, so maybe when you have yours removed you will start to feel better?!
good luck
But there is a medical reason for your pain/ gallstones, Beleave me I had my gallbladder removed and the pain before they did it was dreadful, just like you have, I had all the pain in my chest and going into my back I also had pains in my right arm the symptoms of gallbladder trouble can be confused with heart symptoms. You have had all the tests on your heart so please try and beleave the docs, once you have the op you will feel so much better, keep us posted.

it sounds to me like you are having panic attacks. I know that I go through the same things as you stated when I have the panic attacks. Have you ever been checked out for that?
Hello! I have also had this anxiety thing for the last six months, been to the ER several times and was switched to all different kinds of meds and i think that makes you feel worse. I was like you, took them for a while then quit. I have since been diagnosed with SVT. I wore an event monitor and they saw two episodes of it. I am going to a specialist to have it checked, but i too think i suffer from anxiety. I now take a beta blocker and 1/2 of a .25 klonopin daily.
About the gallstones, it DOES absolutely cause chest pain that radiates everywhere. I had over 20 gallstones and had my gallbladder removed a few years ago.
Hang in there! This anxiety is awful!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take care! Also, this board is great for advice or just to vent~
I HAVE BEEN TOLD I MAY HAVE GALLBLADER ISSUES, WHAT TESTING DO THEY DO TO CHECK FOR THIS? I HAD AN ULTRASOUND DONE BUT THAT WAS OKAY? IS THERE MORE TESTING?
Hi, my name is Cherra. I just found and joined this site today, it was a lifesaver...Finally people just like me with the same problems. I know in my case when all of the anxiety and panic started (I was 17,now 28,I will be 29 this month) I went to every type of doctor out there trying to find out what was going on, I am a "professional" at this panic disorder with agoraphobia stuff (lucky me lol). I had gall stone problems but never experienced the symptoms u described. All of the symptoms u r experiencing sounds like extreme anxiety, I have been there so many times. Believe it or not, I was in a psych unit at a hospital and I was yellow as gold, the white parts of my eyes were green, even my scalp was gold. I was so embarrassed, everyone, including the shrink on the unit told me I probably had hepatitis C which scared me too death. I was nauseated, vomiting all of the time and there was a medical doc that ran some tests and told me it was not hep c but my gall bladder was "rotten"I take Klonipin every day to help control my anxiety,2 mgs. twice daily, I know that is a high dosage but I suffer from extreme anxiety, and of course I told u about the panic disorder with agoraphobia earlier. The best thing that I can tell u is please take the ativan as prescribed and give it a week to see if your symptoms improve, if they do not, tell your shrink or family doc(whoever is prescribing the ativan) and maybe you need a higher dosage. I have lived with this horrible anxiety and I have to live around what all of my fears will let me which actually means I have no life to enjoy. I don't want to write you a book so I will shut up but PLEASE feel free to send me a message anytime , I have and still do have everything you r describing, but please try not to worry and stress about it, it only worsens your anxiety. I have been on every (litterally) med that is available for anxiety and depression, but the klonipin helps me more than any. I do hope you read this and I do hope you feel better, Cherra, contact me here at Cherras_Place2999
