Pressure in back of head

Hi,
The back of my head tightens up when i get nervous, i have trouble looking at people, and my voice begins to crack (especially if speaking in front of groups).  I think i'm going to go back on klonopin, but I was wondering if anyone knew or experiences this as often as I do when forced to speak in meetings or in front of a class?  I lose all focus when the back of my head tightens up and my face goes hot, along with the voice cracking.

Thanks in advance.

sapphireeyesnyc is my girlfriend that was posting for me.... and yes it feels like it will never go away. Are you taking any anxiety meds for your anxiety? If so, a side effect is a headache along with many other symptoms. Look into each med you are taking and read the possible side effects. I have been feeling a lot better since my girlfriend wrote this for me. I only took the 25mg of Paxil for one day, and I chose to stay with the 12.5mg for now. It has been helping. I still get the back of head pressure, but not as bad as I had it. Good Luck.

I am so thankful that I have come across this post! For the past month it feels like I have had this constant headache and Ive been so worried about it but 4 doctors have all said possible anxiety and nothing serious (doesnt help the anxious though does it?).  It feels like I have a ball of pressure at the back of my head and my shoulders are all tense, I also get a feeling like eye strain.  My parents are getting really frustrated with me right now and dont know what to do...its a scary place to be!  Sometimes I dont notices it as much and other times its all I can think about!  Anyway I just thought i would say thanks cause reading this has made it a bit easier.  Dont you find with anxiety u can easy relate ur symptoms to something awful when they are infact classic anxiety symptoms but you seem to somehow overlook these!

Keep ur chin up everyone, u all seem to have it under control, which I hope to some day, I am currently taking beta blockers to calm me down and valium to sleep (but only had a 10 day prescription).  Have just started seeing a concellor aswell...so trying to move in the right direction!

Loud popping noises, he didn't get those, but he did get numbness in arms, and legs, as well as some facial pain, and all the other symptoms. He just started Paxil 25mg today. I wish you good luck with yours.

Sometimes I have these loud popping noises in my head, is that like the brain spazz? Other times I feel numb in certain areas and my ears ring, head pressure along with all the other classic symptoms.  I have not spoken to anyone else who gets these.

My boyfriend has similar pain. He gets this pressure in the back of his head, along with dizziness, and lightheadedness. He also has daily headahces because of this. For monkeefite: you need to make yourself the center of your meetings. Make it like nobody else in that room is as important as yourself. You need to be more confident, and show it. Focus on your presentation, or whatever you are discussing, and make yourself GLOW. Build up your confidence, and calm yourself before a meeting, and I guarantee it will make you feel like a new person. Good Luck in Law school.

listen you have anxiety and EVERYTHING can be caused by it. i personally get the pressure feeling every night in the upper back part of my head and also sometimes in the front as well. these are types of thing you MUST learn to ignore or find ways to relief. i personally light candles and shut off the lights, or look out the window during a rain storm but everyone has different things. hey im a male 6'2'' 240lbs and enjoy watching snow storms but it works lol.. good luck man if u have any questions im here.

Thanks for responding....I guess I'll try that in today's meeting.  Plus I took 1 mg. of klonopin.  But my big concerrn, and please everyone else way in if you would like, is that I'm heading to Law School in the Fall so I need to get this under control soon.  I've decided to call a psychiatrist and work at this.   Hope ur all doing well.  It's so weird to live so deep in my own head.

I get tightness in my shoulders, back of the neck..I think that is why I get so dizzy....I try to focus on that my part of the body and relax those body parts...or I clentch one of my hands and put all my tension there it works sometimes...
