Question about our problem

I have always thought that if I had never had my first anxiety attack that I would never have another one. The reason is I feel I have fear of the attack itself than anything else. Does this make sense?

Yes.  But you didn't have fear of panic attacks before you had your first one did you?
They are unpleasant experiences and it's normal to not want to have another one.
Worrying about having another one doesn't help it and can make it worse. Change those worries to action by getting treatment to prevent them from happening or at least make them less severe.

That does make sense. Panic Attack Disorder is actually more the fear of having another panic attack, than having the actual attacks. It is a vicious cycle. You fear having the attacks, and the stress makes you have them, which in turn makes you fear having another. A good medication and speaking to a psychiatrist would most likely alleviate your problems. You don't have to live with it. I suffered horrible panic attacks and would wake up at night in the middle of an attack and not make any sense, feeling like I needed to be rushed to the hospital. Since starting medication (Lexapro for me, but there are many other choices) I have not had any panic attacks.

Best of luck :)
