Quitting Zoloft and klonopin

Quitting Zoloft and klonopin

due to anxiety issues I was taking xanax for 3 weeks then switched to klonopin for 3 weeks, also 2 weeks ago i started taking zoloft. The xanax was .5 mg 4 times a day and the klonopin is 1mg morning .5 lunch, .5 dinner and 1mg bedtime. zoloft started last week at 25mg and now is 50 mg. I built a tolerance for the xanax and now it seems them sames is happening with klonopin. I have a lack of appettite and anxiety. Frankly the stress I had before this regimen was way easier to deal with than all these drugs, side effects and withdrawals. I want to get off everything ASAP and will be talking with my doc about it this week. My question is when should I get my appetitte back if i quit, how should I quit, etc. I would like to have an opinion besides my docs. Thanks!

It would be very odd to build tolerance in only 3 weeks, especially with klonopin.  And if that's all you've been on these, it shouldn't be that hard to stop.  The Zoloft probably hasn't even begun to work yet, as it often takes 4-6 weeks for anti-depressants to work.  I'd taper just to be safe, but you just haven't been on anything long enough to worry too much about it.

why did they give you xanax and klonopin at the same time? plus zoloft. thats to much. it does take 2 weeks to get addicted to xanax n klonopin and 8 weeks for zoloft. you might feel withdrawls, dont be scared the zoloft does some weird brain electric sensation

The reason I want to get off the benzo's  is that i already have experienced withdrawal/tolerance symptoms. the effects are fine for 1-2 weeks and then i start getting anxious between doses and lose my appetite and become irritable and irrational. I don't want to increase my dose, just want off and back to normal. I will deal with stress with faith and counseling. I seem to be someone who quickly builds a tolerance for benzo's and am a afraid a taper will just prolong my withdrawal. i was not on xanax and klonopin at the same time, it has been a total of 6 weeks on benzo's and 2 weeks on zoloft. quit the zoloft last night, not worried after such a short time, but I am afraid of both a taper and cold turkey on the benzo's.

I would have to agree with Paxiled.  You have not been on them that long, but why not go back to your prescribing doctor and tell him/her you want to quit?  They can put you on a taper and get you off of them if you desire to.
