Random Vomiting at no particular time or event

Hi, i am a 14 year old male and i have a problem, the problem is that at a completely random time, I will become very nauseous and vomit, this usually happens after eating but does happen other times. I have suffered from anxiety for as far as i can remember and has always affected me at a random time, but went away for about 3 months because i was able to overcome my fear of vomiting and ignore the un-known trigger of the anxiety, but recently came back much, much worse and i began vomiting, whereas i never used to. I have recently started at a new school which is almost certainly related to it, but i am extremely happy there and the vomiting comes at no particular time, in the night, morning, and very embarracingly, in the middle of the dining hall.
This is becoming a huge problem that is bothering me and interferring with my everyday life.
I hope somebody could help me as i am petrified of vomiting, just as many, many people are.
I would really like to overcome this problem, as i know it is possble!
Many thanks,
Alex!

Hi.  I can relate very well to what you are experiencing.  I too had a very weak stomach at your age.  Even the slightest little thing would set me off and Upset stomachs and vomiting were my close companions.  Sadly, it was frequently the good things that set me off moreso then the bad ones.  You're at a new school, and even tho you like it alot, everythings new and exciting but there is uncertainty and many unknowns and this effects you even tho you may not be aware of it.  Mentally you may be fine but the rest of your nervous system has it's own agenda and believe me it's more powerful then your thoughts are.
You sound very bright for a 14 year old and quite smart to look for help.  It sounds like you are away from home so I suggest you discuss this with your schools medical facility personnel.  Explain to them exactly what you detail here in your post.  Frequent vomiting is not a good thing and takes it's toll out on your body.  The doctor there should be able to prescribe something or some treatment that will help keep your stomach calm until you are over this stressful period and your body 'normalizes' and your reaction subsides.  Counseling will be of great benefit to you in getting over this troubling time in short order.  Let us know how you  make out.
