Reglan caused extreme anxiety and depression

Can someone... ANYONE, give me any new advice on the medication Reglan?!  I am suffering with severe anxiety and depression from taking the medication.  I was prescribed Reglan by a GI doctor for IBS/Constipation and took it for five weeks before I noticed that I was feeling very anxious and worried about everything and lost happiness and had no enjoyment from my life and activities. Every week it got worse to the point that I couldn't even drive anymore.  After reading that the side effects could cause depression and anxiety, I searched Reglan with on the internet with my side effects of anxiety and depression and found many people with my same exact symptoms.  I stopped right away and have been off it for over a week but the anxiety and depression are even worse.  I go through every day having waves of overwhelming despair and feelings of doom.  I feel like I have an inability to have any positive feelings.  The anxiety is so severe that I have thoughts of suicide because I can't live like this.  All my doctors and pharmacists that I spoke with all deny it's the medication.  What do I do? Someone help.

can you go to dr and get meds for the anxiety/depression. maybe start there and see if meds will help get that under control, if you are not happy with dr there are lots out there find another one. i had a reaction to a med and there are two drs in the office , one that gave it to me said it would not cause the high anxiety.no slepp etc but the other dr said yes it would, so you can not go by what they are saying and i googled the med and fount thousands of people who had same reactions as me , so i went with that will never take that med again. but you need to get help first with the anxiety and than move foward from there once you get on meds and it starts helping you than you can start to come off of it as you get stronger in life again thats what i did . good luck.barbara

I was given Reglan as a pre op med for the lap band surgery and it sent my into a depression and anxiety with suicidal thoguhts. I havent been right every since! That was 2 months ago. Let me know what oyu find out! Google Reglan and you will see there is a law suit in the making on this drug!
