Hello!
Remeron is a good drug for insomnia, and many people have had success using it to treat anxiety and depression as well. I'd say if you already notice positive changes, then why not give it a shot and increase the dosage per your doc's recommendations!
Just be aware of a possible increase in drowsiness when you first bump your dose, especially for driving, etc.
Good luck and let us know how you're doing!
i was diagnosed with lyme disease and treated. also diagnosed with MS but not taking med's as i belive the lyme disease was presenting like MS. ive had nothing but chest tightness, and panic attacks. we tried every medication for depression and anxiety over the course of 5 years. then one day i asked my dr if he could think of anything else. he said "lets try remeron"....why not?
i agreed and the first day i noticed improvement. it all depends on the person as to what dosage is best...i finally feel alot better than i did. its almost like im a newer me. im focused, taking up different hobby's, and finally living life without pain. i am no dr but have been thru the ringer- 9 hospitals, 7 spinal taps, trying new medications, MRI's, etc....Went to every type of specialist you can think of- now im just looking for a fast acting medication to help with a panic attack which occurs out of the blue 2-4 times a month.
i hope you are able to find relief with this medication and if not, keep trying different ones and DO NOT GIVE UP......most of these dr's have no idea what they are doing (in my experience dealing with the "top dr's" in NYC......
Have a great day
