Ryan about Remeron

by ccamrine, Jul 29, 2007 07:39PM
It's me again.  When I was on prozac they tried adding remeron to the mix and it made my left arm and hand go tingly and numb.  Plus the left side of my face went numb too.  What do you make of that?  I was on it together for two days.  The Dr. said he had never heard of anybody doing that before.

"What do you make of that?"

It was most likely Hyperventilation. There's not much else that could explain it. Whether or not it was induced from the Remeron, or the combination of Prozac and Remeron is a mystery.

If you do intend to take HRT, you should avoid Remeron. It is a Tetracyclic, and may add to the risks of HRT by decreasing blood coagulation time (Prothrombin Time).
