Scared & Need Help!

Hello, my name is Stormie and I and 40 years old.  I've been having strange things happen to me while I'm trying to go to sleep.  I've been trying to talk to my doctor about it, but she just keeps brushing it off to being contributed to my panic disorder.

My syptoms are as followed:
1) I am having what I think are all over tremors. This mostly occurs when I lay down to go to sleep.
2) Sometimes I will wake up with an electrical shock feeling in my tongue.  I thought it was from having a tongue ring so I took it out and it's been out for some months now, but it's still happening.
3) As I'm falling alseep I have this unexplainable feeling of like spacing out and it scares the devil out of me and I jump up and I'm in like a state of panic.
4) Sometimes when I have fallen asleep I feel like I've stopped breathing and I wake up in a panic.

My medical problems are as followed:
1) I suffer from panic disorder
2) I have severe chronic pain
3) Asthma
4) Miagrains

I'm on limited medications, but they are quite potient. They are:
1) Oxycontin 40mg 2x Daily
2) Percocet 10mg 1/2 pills every 4 to 6 hours.
3) Xanax 1mg every 6 hours as needed. I normally only take these at night when I wake up from that frightful feeling I get when trying to sleep.

Please help me!  I'm terrified to go to sleep.  I'm scared to death and my doctor doesn't believe me!

That's a pretty hefty boatload of pain meds your on. You said you had chronic pain, but not why, or for how long you've been taking these meds. Perhaps it's time to look at some alternative means of pain management?
You're anxiety is, in my humble opinion, not controlled. If you have what has been dx'd as "severe panic disorder," I believe you should be on a long term antianxiety med rather than Xanax prn.
You say that you often wake up in a panic feeling as if you've stopped breathing. Makes me wonder if your asthma is under control.
The electric shock feeling in your tongue is beyond me. I can only guess that possibly when you had it pierced, a nerve was damaged. I personally don't know what else could cause this symptom.
The tremors that happen usually when you go to bed have me stumped as well. My guess on that one is that one or both of the pain meds is wearing "thin" and the tremors are your bodies way of saying they need more?
That "spacing out" feeling you get as you're slipping into sleep is fairly common.............some of us experience it as a sensation of falling, but at least for me, it doesn't happen every night, which it seems yours does. It's a very creepy feeling and it would definitely make ME anxious about going to bed.
You say you've attempted to discuss all this with your doctor who simply puts it all on your panic disorder.
My advice? Give her the shove. Find a doctor far more willing to work with you on your other issues, most especially the chronic pain.
In fact, I would engage an entire TEAM of doctors. A pulmanologist for your asthma. A neurologist for your migraines. A pain management doctor or clinic for your chronic pain (or a specialist depending on why you have the pain) and lastly, a therapist to help you deal with your anxiety. They would, naturally, all need to know the medications you're on. (Sorry, that was a no-brainer) It sounds to me like your current doc is just throwing meds at you and dissing the deeper issues. And in the process, she is turning you into a junkie which some day will become a living nightmare for you.
Bottom line for me is that you need to get away from her and into the care of practicioners who actually listen. I don't think she listens nor cares.
Let us know how you're doing, OK?
Peace
Greenlydia
