Scared to take a Xanax

I was prescribed .25mg of Xanax for anxiety. My doctor told me to start by taking half. I'm scared to take one but I have work in two hours and I don't want to feel really anxious. Usually I just feel like I can't breathe normal, but it's like all day long, would a Xanax help me feel like I'm breathing normal? Will taking half of .25mg make me really tired?

Take it! Relief is quick. Take it as needed. You don't have to dose yourself three times a day. I hope it helps you as it helps me

Speaking from experience, the 0.25mg won't make you tired. I'm pretty sure that a majority of people would also find this.

For me, I didn't feel any different asides from having no anxiety!

I too was scared to take my xanax for a long time.I had a huge attack that made me shake uncontrollably like I was  having a seizure so I gave into the xanax for the first time during that attack and was amazed that it stopped it. It doesn't make me super tired just gives me more of a normal feeling and a break from all the worrying I do. Good luck!

I think everyone is different I personally dont find it makes me tired it actually relaxes me when im about to stop an attack. Id suggest to ONLY take it if you really need it and you feel you cannot cope with your attack. Good luck!

I think you should try it as I would rather feel tired in work than anxiety. I think you'll be ok. Best wishes..
