Sedate

by yguerrero, Feb 23, 2009 08:34PM
I will be having a thyroid biopsy on Wednesday and the doctor prescribed me some alprazolam 0.5mg to take before the procedure. This will be the second biopsy done and the first one hurt a lot, so the doctor suggested me taking these for me to be more relaxed. Will this help with the pain or will I just be relaxed? Will I get hook on them?

Just taking one will not get you hooked on them. It will help you relax, I'm not sure about it helping the pain. What about asking your Dr. for a pain pill before the biopsy? This will take care of the pain and relax you too. Good luck and take care. Remar
