Sertraline Help

I started sertraline 50 mg  4 and 1/2 weeks ago for health anxiety, general anxiety and depression. Also 50 mg trazadone for insomnia. At the 2-3 week point I was experiencing some improvements- better appetite, socializing again, much less worry, sleeping better with the trazadone. At my 3 week doctor visit he decided to not increase my dosage since I was seeing improvement. 3 days later I crashed- anxiety and worry, chest tightness, stomach issues, no appetite and back to 2-3 hours of sleep a night even with increasing trazadone to 100 mg. I called my doctor and was told to increase sertraline to 100 mg. I went to 75 mg for 3 days, then 100 mg for last 5 days. I still feel terrible. How could I have had significant improvement at 2-3 weeks and now be back to how I was before starting sertraline?

How did the 100mg Zoloft end up working?? I'm going through the same thing you described at 75mg.

Could have been a placebo effect -- not that I know, but just feeling like you're getting help is very powerful medicine.  Unfortunately, it usually doesn't last, and then either the meds work for you or they don't.  Also, using drugs such as trazadone for sleep can be a problem for some people, as it's an unwanted side effect, not it's intended purpose, so it's not your natural sleep.
