Severe Anxiety

I have varicose veins and they cause such anxiety that I can’t hardly look at my leg without getting scared. I am due in for varicose vein treatment this week at vaughan vein which is nearby in Thornhill. I am worried if this is normal for someone at my age. I asked my GP and before I even go to show him, he says that it’s normal. I am so worried and totally freaking out.

Well, you don't say your age, and you have a female name but your profile says you're male, but there really isn't a condition called "normal."  We are who we are.  The varicose veins aren't causing you anxiety, you are by the way you're thinking about them and obsessing about them.  Since life is better if we can learn how not to do that, you might consider seeing a psychologist to see why you're so concerned about how others see you, but any illness is scary and being different from the "norm" is scary so to be concerned about that is normal.  You just want to get to a place where you're comfortable enough with yourself not to feel bad about it.
