Sharp pains in my chest (heart area) from Anziety?

I always had Anxiety and sometimes I may have Anxiety attacks i think where my heart pace instantly and painfully increases in speed for about 5-15 seconds. (A minute was the longest)  But it goes away after shortly i've had EKG's before nothing came up. I am not positively sure its from anxiety it may be i don't know but it does hurt a lot.  These episodes happen twice a week and sometimes 4 times a week... But then it may not happen for three weeks. Nothing provokes it except at times I may feel severally depressed.

You've had tests that prove your heart is fine. Pain in the chest area is very common for those of us who suffer with anxiety and panic. How are you dealing with your anxiety issue? Medication? Therapy? Both?
Since this is obviously causing you distress, which is going to bring on these symptoms, perhaps it's time for another consult with your doctor and time to look into therapy to deal with your health/heart anxiety.
I'm sure your heart is just fine, but only your doctor can hopefully convince you of that.
Don't let this take over your life. Get pro-active in your physical and emotional health!

Yeah I would have to say anxiety is a big culprit of this symptom...I get them fairly often and its quite stressful I am right there with you...If you heart is fine, and doctors can tell fairly easily especially if you are not over 50...EKG and a stethascope usually do the trick, I know its hard to believe it as I type this I am worrying about my chest, but we have to fight it and most of all accept it!!!
