For the longest time I have had a fearFears and phobias of sleep. My most troubling symptoms is that often I will never remember sleeping. Its like I close my eyes and 1 second later 2 hours have gone by. Is this commonCommon cold?
What is it about sleep that you are afraid of? For some people, they fearFears and phobias sleep because they are afraid they will never wake up again. However, what you describe is normalNormal saline flush under the circumstances...that is, that if you're so afraid of sleep that you go as long as you can without sleeping. Your body needs sleep...if you go so long without it, your body will eventually take over and your body will "crash." When people "crash" it's not uncommon for them to experience something like simplySimply sleep laying down and then waking up thinking it's only been a few minutes, when really seveal hours have passed. This is simplySimply sleep your body adjusting and giving you what you need, which is sleep. Have you tried therapy for this phobia?
