Small first steps

Hello

Today (scared as though i was) i rang up a few people about my problem.
I rang my local Mental Health Clinic who said they couldnt help me unless i was reffered by my GP.
As we dont pay for help in the UK we have to be reffered by our GP.

I rang up a Pychosis early intevention team that are based around here, i spoke for around 15 minuets with a lovely lady, i told her most of my problem, she couldnt make a full diognnosis from a phone call, but she said she doesnt think it's pychosis, she said it shouldnt take 7 years to develop.
She wished me luck and she said i could be reffered to them if i wish

I have decided to go to my GP next thursday and will book my appointment tomorrow, it might take a while but i hope to get some help from my local clinic. I hope i can get a nice Psychitrist.

Thanks and i will keep you updated.

P.S - Do you have any advice for me when seeing my GP, would it be good for me to write it down and give it to Him/Her to read rather than me explaining i?

Callum

Making a list of everything you want to talk to your doctor about is a great idea.  You can use it to help explain your symptoms or let the doctor read it.  You're on the right path and moving forward, keep us posted!
