Stopped Lexapro, and not sure if i made the right choice.

I have been taking lexapro for like 6 or 7years now. Well at night it started to feel like my heart hurt. Went to the doctor and had high blood pressure i could not figure it out and my doc could not either, because it has always been perfect. Well after coming off of it I started to feel like my old self again, im happy, have a lot more energy and not tired all the time. Well I have noticed latley that when its raining or nasty outside, I feel strange. Also I have been doing good around people, I have had some anxiety like feeling like everyones looking at me. And my work is seasonal and I go back tuesday and I have to talk to many different people. Im just worried that when i go back, i might not be able to handle myself without feeling werid and then panic. Has anyone went through this or have any suggestions on what i can do to calm myself if I do start feeling werid. Also after coming off lexapro my blood pressure went back down and my chest does not hurt anymore.
thanks,
Kalie

No I have never tryed celexa, but i have tryed pretty much everything outthere.I was on 20mgs then went to 10. I notice it hits me more at night when i try to go to sleep, my heart starts racing and it scares me so I cant sleep. I am thinking about trying some type of a pm pill. What do u think?

Yeah,

Lexapro does make you sleep well, most of us anxiety sufferers have ADHD where our mind is at a different speed then most...

My mind moves so quick that its really hard for me to focus at times and my creativity does not help the situation (non-rational thoughts)

I would rather sleep well then be insomiac though, strange that Lexapro would be hurting your chest and causing high blood pressure, how many MG were you up to? I swing back and forth between 10 and 15mg

Have you tried Celexa?

I am 31 and my anxiety started around 23 or 24. I thought i was losing my mind. Went to Many doctors tried many different meds and lexapro was the one that worked. But it got to the point were i stayed tired and when I tried to sleep my chest would hurt. When I came off lexapro all the pain stopped. Thats the only reason I am scared to go back on it.

I have been on Lexapro for around 2 years and stopped around 3 weeks ago to try cymbalta and it just did not have the same effect; I started getting depressed as all hell and like you, overcasted days worsened my Depression and Anxiety so I am back on Lexapro feeling normal again.

Anxiety eventually causes Depression and vice versa, having that motivation and drive is the key to getting yourself outside and moving forward in life, Lexapro has helped in that retrospect giving me that drive and ambition I always had when I was younger (I am 36 now)

I do not feel nearly as Depressed but I still have Anxiety at times. If you do not mind me asking, how old are you and how long have you been suffereing from Anxiety and Depression?
