Stopping xanax

I need some info everyone says i will be fine but im scared in feb i was put on 1 mg. xanax 3 times a day.On april 23 my dr added 0.5 mg of klonopin to help me taper off xanax (Klonopin 3 times a day)cut me back to 2 mg. of xanax twice a day till may 8th then he cut me down to 1 mg for a week and then told me to stop it.Im afraid to stop it im still at this date taking 1 mg of the xanax. i talked to the pharmaisist at the mental helth hospital and he said this was a good taper and the klonopin should carry me and i should be fine.From previous posts you may read about him putting me on cymbalta and how i skipped around on it and stopped it after taking about 7 pills.Im a nervous wreck.Anyone know if i can relax and believe the klonopin will cover the withdrawals from xanax?

Can you not just break the xanax and talk it down even further yourself? That would be 0.5mg. Then break that down again. With the Klonopin I am sure you would feel nothing at all. Even without doing it that way. About trusting the doctor. I know it is not easy. I almost cried when I was told ' no more xanax from this second on '. I had been on 1mg by 3 times daily for nearly a decade. But I trusted the doctor. He was right. I was badly wrong. I expected all kinds of hell. But he had me covered with other meds. Have faith in your doctor. Not saying there won't be mild anxiety. But I doubt it would be anything you couldn't handle.
