Suboxone and clonopin

I   have been on suboxone for 3 years know and i have just been bumped up to 24 mg per day. i have really be anxiety all the time. Is it safe to take suboxone and clonopin together?

Not being a doctor, a pharmacist or a chemist, I can't even begin to hazard a guess as to the safety of mixing these two meds.  
Suboxone is a pretty strong opoiod for pain and Klonopin is used for panic disorder (and seizures)
Have you been prescribed the Klonopin? If so, I am going to assume that the prescribing doc is aware of your use of Suboxone. I would hope so at any rate. If not, they need to be informed poste haste!
And the only answer I can give you is that you need to consult with your doctor(s) about the use of these two meds simultaneously.

Hello, I havent been on them both together but I am on suboxone and I take 16-24 mg a day. My doctor tells me that it is a very unsafe mix, because I wanted to also get on clonopin. though i have heard of a few people that have them both prescribed. I have taken clonopin with suboxone illegally before and i was fine, but long term use is bad for you. I think you may want to consider adjusting your suboxone dose, as believe it or not, can cause some anxiety. hope this helps.

One more thing danny, im just curious as to why you have been bumped up in your dose, as the whole point of this type of medicine is to taper off of it. I have also been on it for a few years and i find myself wanting more but youll never get off of it if you keep upping the dose
